St. Joseph school contracts with USD 418 for its hot lunch program. Free or reduced meals will be served to children who qualify according to the guidelines established by the National School Lunch Act. Eligibility standards and applications may be obtained in the school office.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m.-12:25 p.m. Student lunches are $ 2.90 per lunch. It is recommended that parents put enough money in the lunch account to pay for 10 lunches. All lunches come with a carton of milk. If your child would like extra milk, they may purchase one for $.30. Preschool students may purchase milk for snack time.
Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child. Please let the office know by 8:30 a.m. if you will be having a hot lunch, so that it may be added to the school order. Lunch cost for adults are $3.80.
Students bringing lunches are encouraged to bring a healthy, nutritious meal. Please do not send candy or soda pop with your child’s lunch. Students are not allowed to have “fast food” brought to school at lunchtime. Students will not be permitted to heat up their lunches.
