2018-2019 Enrollment as of October 12, 2018:
The kindergarten program is half a day running from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. We offer a KinderCare program for parents wanting a full day option. KinderCare extends from the end of kindergarten until 3:15 p.m. It is an extended day for kindergarten students that wish to stay in the afternoon for a faith based, enriched environment of fun activities and socialization with children of their own age. The fee for KinderCare is $140.00 a month. KinderCare is in session everyday that Kindergarten meets.
The pre-kindergarten classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is both a morning and afternoon session. The morning session runs from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon session runs from 12:15 to 3:00 p.m. The fee for Pre-Kindergarten is $100 a month. The preschool class meets on Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. An afternoon session is held only if the morning class fills. The cost for preschool is $65 a month. Both pre-kindergarten and pre-school require a $30 deposit to hold an enrollment spot.

Yes. SJS is a fully accredited by the state of Kansas and NCA and is a member of the Diocese of Wichita. The Diocese is a member of the Kansas Board of Education and consists of 4 high schools and thirty-seven grade schools.
There is not a tuition at SJS. SJS Catholic parents tithe to their local parish. The financial arrangements are made between the parent and their parish pastor. The only tuition paid at SJS is by our non-Catholic students. There is an enrollment fee of approximately $175.00 that is paid by all parents which covers some textbook rental costs and other miscellaneous fees.
Fees for Non-Catholic Students:
Kindergarten: $2000.00 a year/ $200 a month
Grades 1-6: $2500.00 a year/$250 a month
Additional siblings = $500 a student
School begins at 7:55 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. Students may arrive at 7:45 a.m. for student supervision.
Yes, The St. Joseph Catholic School uniforms are red, green and white shirts with blue pants, skorts or shorts. Girls also have an option for a plaid jumper. The uniforms can be purchased through Parker School Uniforms or French Toast. The school also has used uniforms available for a small donation. Yes, USD 418 provides our lunches. Occasionally USD 418 students are out of school when we are in and the SJS students bring sack lunches on those days. The price of one school lunch is $2.90. Students may also bring their own lunch if they so desire. Free and reduced priced lunches are also available for those who qualify according to the state income guidelines.
St. Joseph school coordinates with USD 418 to provide bus services for students who live outside the city limits and with the boundaries of the public school system.
Grades K-6 attend Mass two times a week. The a.m. pre-kindergarten class attends Mass once a week.
At SJS every effort is made to keep parents informed of their student’s progress and the many events and activities that go on throughout the school year. We are blessed with dedicated parents who assist the school in many ways such as fund-raising, and volunteering in the school. Parents are invited to become part of our PTO, Room Parents, and any committee work we have throughout the year.
