Another Year Begins!
Let me begin by stating that is a blessing to serve at St. Joseph Catholic School. For the first thirty two years of my life, I lived in the northeast region of this great country in a town located just five miles from Philadelphia: Havertown, Pennsylvania. Clearly, McPherson is different in many ways, but I am truly excited and grateful to be here and start the next chapter of my life with my wife, Kate, and son, Fulton. We are expecting another child in March, so please keep us in your prayers.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and I have spent many years serving youth in various types of environments. After my wife and I were married on September 5, 2015 (Mother Teresa's Feast Day), I spent two years teaching in a classical-based Catholic school in the Philadelphia area. I taught religion, English, math, history, and Spanish to middle school students; I taught gym to kindergartners, third, and fourth graders.
I am thankful that God has called my family to Kansas! My grandfather was actually from Topeka, and my wife is a native of McPherson... and a graduate of St. Joseph! We are proud to be Kansans and serve the Body of Christ in the wonderful Diocese of Wichita. I look forward to building strong relationships with students, teachers, and families.
St. Joseph, pray for us!
