The Parish Council of St. Joseph's Church will be hosting elections for new members during the weekend Masses of September 20th and 21st. Ballots will be placed in the pews for parishioners to cast their votes. The ballots will include the following information about the candidates: The Parish Council for St. Joseph’s is made up of one individual from each major parish organization, (ie. CYO, Knights of Columbus, Home & School, Altar Society, Legion of Mary, etc.) In addition to this group are six members elected from the parish. Three parishioners will be elected this year for a four-year term. This year there are five candidates.
Scott Hohmann, member of St. Joseph’s Parish for 3 years, wife: Joy children: Allison, Autumn, Jayme and Liam. Scott is a physical therapist and serves as an Eucharistic Minister. He is a member of Knights of Columbus and is a 3rd degree Knight.
Kathy Steiner, member of St. Joseph’s Parish for over a year, husband, Cary, children, Jenny, Abby and C.J. Kathy is a loan officer at McPherson Credit Union. She is involved with the Middle School Youth Group.
David Lackey, member of St. Joseph’s Parish for 6 years, wife: Tammi, children: Madison & Jacob. David is a Senior Staff Engineer for Jayhawk Pipeline and is a member of Knights of Columbus and serves as a lector and usher. He has served on Parish Council for the past 2 years. David is active in coaching youth sports.
Robin Elsasser, member of St. Joseph’s Parish for 21 years, husband, Allen, children: Emily and Aaron. Robin is the Office Manager at Ferguson Production. She has been heavily involved in Home and School, School Council and is serving on the School Advancement Committee. Robin is a member of Altar Society heading the craft guild, she serves as an Eucharistic Minister and participates in Adoration.
Larry Fitzmorris, member of St. Joseph’s Parish for 6 years, wife: Charlene, children: Doug and Danica Fitzmorris and Rick and Kelly Kohl. Larry is a retired Social Studies Teacher and coach. Larry is a member of Knights of Columbus and is a 3rd Degree Knight. He participates in the Lord’s Diner and Adoration. |
